BGP Commands

configure /jointfilesconvert/484795/bgp routerid

configure /jointfilesconvert/484795/bgp routerid <router identifier>

Changes the router identifier.

Syntax Description

Usage Guidelines

BGP must be disabled before changing the router ID.

BGP selects routes based on the following precedence (from highest to lowest):

• higher weight

• higher local preference

• shortest length (shortest AS path)

• lowest origin code

• lowest MED

• route from external peer

• lowest cost to Next Hop

• lowest router ID

The following command changes the router ID:

configure /jointfilesconvert/484795/bgp routerid 192.1.1.13

router identifier Specifies a router identifier.
