Intelligent Mobile Edge Overview

Extreme Networks® Intelligent Mobile Edge solution empowers organizations to oer

BYOD at breakthrough TCO through a converged wired and wireless architecture. It

supports the migration to 802.11n wireless and beyond, while ﬂattening the campus network

and helping to meet the enhanced security requirements driven by consumerization and

device proliferation.

The Intelligent Mobile Edge Solution leverages the ExtremeXOS®-based Summit® portfolio of

stackable switches, including the new Summit X440, a broad 802.11n-based WLAN portfolio

including Summit Controllers and Altitude™ Access Points, and Ridgeline™, Extreme

Networks powerful, ﬂexible converged management solution. Unlike legacy edge solutions

that may not cost-eectively scale, Extreme Networks can help deliver a better user

experience at a lower cost through a converged wired and WLAN data plane and user

management, reducing IT sta time and extending intelligence and security to both wired

and wireless users at the network edge. The Intelligent Mobile Edge Solution responds to

the need of diverse deployments including enterprises, education, hospitality and small and

medium business markets.

Altitude 4511 Access Point

• 802.11n 2x2 MIMO custom designed

radio which provides 26dBm

performance with integrated antennas.

• Snap-on set-up uses existing cabling.

• Integrated controller help to improve

network reliability.

Altitude 4021 & 4532

Access Points

• Single & Dual Radio with up to 2x3 MIMO.

• Internal integrated antenna or external

antenna models.

• High power – 24 dBm of power.

• IEEE 802.11n technology. The fastest

wireless available.
